**Account Executive (m/f/d) - Frankfurt - Full-time**
**About the role:**
**As an Account Executive at Saltz, your mission is to change how chefs order food and grow the accounts of the gastronomy businesses already doing it with us.**
You're selling something genuinely different: a digital marketplace that allows chefs to order as close as possible to the source. They gain full transparency on pricing, a simple and intuitive ordering experience, access to suppliers they already trust and discover new products -- all in one place, our marketplace.
To do this well, you need to understand the world you're walking into. If you've spent time in food distribution, wholesale, or supply --- selling ingredients or products to HoReCa clients --- you already think the way our best customers think. You know what a good price looks like, you know what chefs care about, and you know how to have a real conversation in a kitchen. That's the foundation this role is built on.
**What you will do:**
* Introduce Saltz to chefs, restaurant owner, F&B managers and convince them to start placing orders using the platform
* Own a portfolio of restaurant and other HoReCa accounts --- your job is to grow them, not just maintain them
* Visit clients regularly: walk the kitchen, understand their challenges, find where Saltz can do more for them
* Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by asking the right questions and listening carefully
* Build relationships with the people who matter --- chefs, GMs, procurement teams --- so they think of you as a trusted advisor
* Work closely with the teams to turn client feedback into actionable input for the platform
* Drive growth by keeping as many accounts as possible actively ordering
* Represent Saltz at industry events, trade visits, and in-person meetings where your HoReCa credibility opens doors
**What you need:**
* Experience selling **food products** (ingredients, supplies, or beverages) to restaurants, hotels, or other HoReCa clients --- distribution, wholesale, or food supplier background is exactly what we're looking for
* You understand food pricing, margins, and how chefs make buying decisions --- a chef can't confuse you on specs or costs
* A proven track record of growing existing accounts, not just closing new ones
* Comfortable managing multiple demanding relationships simultaneously without dropping the ball
* Language skills: fluent German (C1) and good English skills
**Nice-to-haves:**
* Familiarity with marketplaces, SaaS, or digital tools for the hospitality industry
* Experience selling to hotel chains or multi-unit restaurant operators
* An existing network in the local HoReCa market
* You speak other languages
**What you get:**
* Salary base (mid position EUR 46,000 - 55,000 yearly gross and senior position EUR 55,000 - 65,000 yearly gross)
* Commission on the top of the base salary, uncapped
